The FER will organise a meeting during the People’s Summit COP 20 about "What responsibility the world needs?"
Organized by the Forum for Ethics and Responsibility - FER, and in the context of the Climate Change Poeple’s Summit around the COP 20 in Lima, this December, an encounter will take place on "WHAT RESPONSIBILITY THE WORLD NEEDS?”.
It is a debate among 40 representatives of civil society and State officials of various countries. It will be about the definition of a principle of responsibility that would sustain progress in tackling climate change towards a new global environmental governance.
The Forum of Ethics and Responsibilities - FER is part of the international organizations group linked to the December 2014 People’s Summit in Lima. It has networks and coordination in all continents of the world and maintains an ongoing process towards new international instruments to institute human responsibilities as new pillar of world governance.
Pierre Calame, French engineer and researcher, member of FER, noted the importance of defining more precisely the concept of responsibility, to be enforceable in international practice. Edith Sizoo, Dutch social linguist, general coordinator of FER, has rescued the double character, at once universal and multicultural, of the responsibilities among all peoples of the world.
More information on how to participate and where will be shared in due time.
