The Brussels Proposal: Towards a new direction for Education

Education for Global Citizenship stimulates the development of an understanding of learners to be part of a global community respecting planetary boundaries.
The Conference “Citizens for Global Education, Education for Global Citizenship, was held on 24-25 June 2014, in Brussels, Belgium (read the press release).
Participants at the conference discussed global education targets for the Post2015 Agenda, the news Sustainable Development Goals replacing the current Millennium Development Goals. They formulated a proposal on Education for Global Citizenship (EGC):
